Businesses that generate any amount of dangerous waste are responsible for this waste from cradle to grave. In Washington state, the Dangerous Waste Regulations determine what dangerous waste is, and how businesses should properly handle and dispose of it. 

Most businesses choose to hire a hazardous waste service provider.

Small quantity generators can also take their waste to the Snohomish County Household Waste Facility in Everett. Businesses do need to make an appointment by calling 425-388-6050.

Recycling

All Snohomish County Recycling & Transfer Stations and Drop Boxes have designated recycle areas for accepted items that are free of charge for residential customers ONLY. Visit Snohomish County Solid Waste for more information on what items are accepted. 

Fluorescent Bulbs

LightRecycle oversees Washington's statewide mercury light recycling program. LightRecycle allows residents and businesses to recycle fluorescent and other mercury-containing lights for free. Recycling mercury-containing lights is important to protect human health and the health of the environment. Used Paint

Paint Care oversees Washington's statewide paint recycling program. The program makes it easier for Washington residents and some businesses to recycle their unused and unwanted paint. You can find free paint drop off locations near your zip code via Paint Care's website.

Electronic-Waste

Electronic products contain valuable materials that can be recycled and toxic chemicals that should be kept out of the landfill. E-Cycle Washington is a free program that makes it easy for Washington residents to recycle certain broken, obsolete, or worn-out electronics.
