Children’s health is the foundation for lifelong health and children’s health depends heavily on the health of their mothers from preconception. That means that Maternal and Child Health (MCH) is essential to the health of the future health of the entire population. Looking at current trends in MCH gives a good gauge on how the general health of the future population will look. Investing in MCH is primary prevention and our MCH team here at SHD recognizes the responsibility in contributing towards the future health of Snohomish county through all of our programs.
