COVID-19 Info for At-Risk Populations
We are tracking COVID-19 carefully and working to protect the health of our community. Now is the time for elders, vulnerable populations, and those who care for or frequently interact with them to prepare and focus on illness prevention efforts.
This page provides resources and materials for long-term care facilities, older adults, community organizations, and others who may be more vulnerable to complications from this illness.
Community organizations include groups that may work with vulnerable populations or people with limited access to medical care. Now is the time for organizations to be prepared and proactive, as well encouraging staff, volunteers and others to follow good illness prevention measures. It is important that these organizations emphasize standard illness prevention strategies, including providing accessible handwashing stations and/or hand sanitizer (at least 60% alcohol), having sick employees or volunteers stay home, and performing routine cleaning, especially of frequently touched surfaces and objects. It is also important for these organizations to provide accurate information on illness prevention to the community.
Please use the resources and materials below and continue to turn to reliable sources of information.
