In 2008, Everett became the most recent addition to the Snohomish Health District's Healthy Communities Project. Everett, the county seat and largest city in Snohomish County, is making excellent progress in becoming a healthier community. Initiating the process in early 2008, the Healthy Communities Advisory Committee convened three times, identifying their three priorities in June 2008. Sub-committees have completed the Nutrition and Physical Activity Action Plan. The areas of focus for Everett are to:

1. Improve Access to Healthy Local Foods  [pdf]
