  Water fluoridation in Snohomish County

More than 75% of public water systems (Type A) in Snohomish County have drinking water that contains fluoride. The City of Everett provides drinking water to the majority of cities and towns in Snohomish County. The decision to adjust the fluoride level was adopted by the City of Everett in 1992 and implemented in 1993. In the last few decades, tooth decay has dropped dramatically, largely due to the fluoride available in drinking water.
