Access to Health Care in Snohomish County

Access to health care is an important public health issue deserving careful assessment. Health assessments are a core function of public health. The goal of community health assessment is to monitor community health and evaluate the effectiveness and quality of population-based health services. Community health assessments, such as the current report, can provide information for policies that support individual and community health efforts and change. This report identifies populations where improving access to health care should become a priority. In addition, this report also details the consequences of not having adequate access to health care.

This report is available in electronic format (PDF) below. Due to the length of the report, both the entire report and separate chapters are available for download.

If you have any questions about this report, or if your organization would like to receive a hard copy of the report, please contact the Health Statistics and Assessment unit (healthstats@shd.snohomish.wa.gov).
