Emergency Planning and Response

When talking of a disaster, no one can answer the questions, "What? When? or Where?", but it is important to examine our risks in the Pacific Northwest and learn how to better prepare ourselves to respond and cope during a disaster.

The Pacific Northwest, has about 82 "clear sky days" each year. That leaves over 280 days each year to wind, rain, fog, snow and hail. In addition, Snohomish County is susceptible to floods, volcanic activity, earthquakes and seiches.

Following are some suggestions and resources for readying your environment and responding appropriately to help ensure your health and safety in the event of a disaster
