and your family against many vaccine preventable diseases. It is important to keep vaccinations current throughout
your lifetime.
The material in this web page provides the latest immunization information for children, adolescents, and adults.
The material available follows the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), ACIP (Advisory Committee on
Immunization Practices) guidelines.
Adult and Travel Vaccines
Immunizations are recommended throughout one's lifetime. At routine visits, check with your healthcare provider
to make sure you are up to date on recommended immunizations. Always keep a current record of immunizations, and
medications you are taking, in your wallet.

Get the Dirt on Tetanus - What you need to know to stay safe from tetanus bacteria lurking in your yard and garden.
Vaccinate Before You Renovate - What you need to know to protect yourself and your family from tetanus.
Childhood and Adolescent Vaccines
Vaccinations protect children from 16 serious and possibly deadly diseases. Be sure to talk with your healthcare
provider during routine visits about your child's vaccines. Your child can have immunizations during a mild
illness; the vaccine will still be effective without making your child's illness worse. Always keep a current
record of your child's immunizations on a Washington State Lifetime Immunization Record.

The following resources have been compiled to provide practitioners with up to date information about vaccine safety,
scheduling, and administration.
Vaccine Information Statements (VIS)
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has produced Vaccine Information Statements (VISs) to explain both the benefits and the risks of certain vaccines. Federal law requires
that a VIS be provided before each dose of these vaccines to the recipient, their parent, or legal representative.
