Norovirus
Norovirus (previously known as Norwalk-like Virus) is actually a group of viruses that are a common cause of gastroenteritis ("stomach flu"). Norovirus is a highly contagious illness and presents as a mild to moderate self-limited illness. Ill persons may have any combination of the following symptoms which usually last from 24-48 hours: abdominal pain, body aches, diarrhea, headache, low grade fever and vomiting. Treatment consists of hydration support.
