Early Intervention Public Health Nurses work with families in their home. Nurses talk with parents and observe children to assess their needs and connect to local resources. Early Intervention works to keep their children safe and healthy.

The goals of the program are to promote a healthy pregnancy and delivery of a healthy baby as well as support positive parenting for your baby’s first year of life. First Steps is available to low-income pregnant and parenting women and infants up to one year of age.

Nurse-Family Partnership® is an evidence-based, nurse home visiting program. This program serves Medicaid eligible first-time mothers 21 years and younger and their children in their home throughout pregnancy until the child is 2 years old.

WIC - a special nutrition program for Women, Infants, and Children - helps pregnant women, new mothers, and young children eat well, learn about nutrition, and stay healthy. Participants must be a resident of Washington, meet income guidelines and be a pregnant woman, new mother, infant or child under the age of five years.
