Prevent and control communicable disease in Snohomish County utilizing the tools of surveillance, outbreak response, education, vaccination, and preparedness activities. Explain public health interventions and disseminate health education messages to the community and the media to enhance disease control efforts. Provide a channel of communication between public health agencies, private physicians, and hospital and occupational infection control personnel, as an essential part of disease control efforts.
CD Reporting ( For Healthcare Professionals & Schools ) Prompt reporting of communicable diseases interrupts transmission by locating and treating exposed contacts, identifying and containing outbreaks, ensuring effective treatment and follow-up and alerting the community.
Clinic Services Vaccinations for infants, children, and adults; Tuberculosis Skin Testing (TST), Pregnancy verification, Lice and scabies checks, Vaccinations, and counseling for international travelers, and confidential and anonymous HIV tests.
Communicable Disease Information ( For the Public ) Information and resources about many different communicable diseases and conditions, including MRSA and information about animals and rabies. Fact sheets are also available for many common diseases. Services are provided to child care providers to help prevent illness.
Foodborne Illness Complaints Reporting a possible foodborne illness and information about various causes of foodborne illness. 
HIV/AIDS Prevention HIV counseling, testing and referral services in addition to outreach and education to those at highest risk for HIV. Harm reduction and prevention counseling is also provided for individuals at risk for HIV.
Immunization Information Ensuring parents, schools, health care providers, and the Snohomish Health District work together to increase immunization rates for the best protection against vaccine preventable diseases.
Perinatal Hepatitis B Prevention Providing education, blood testing, and hepatitis B immunizations for infants and household/sexual contacts of hepatitis B positive women.
Refugee Screening Snohomish Health District provides a health screening for Snohomish County residents who have recently arrived in the United States.
Tuberculosis Control Provides care and management for active TB cases, accepts referrals for TB cases from community providers, initiates control and management of outbreaks, and offers consultation to providers. Conducts targeted testing of high risk populations. Educational outreach on disease control and prevention.
Viral Hepatitis Prevention & Outreach Viral Hepatitis Prevention & Outreach provides screening, vaccines, education, and prevention information to those most at risk for hepatitis A, B, and C which are individuals who have a history of injection drug use (IDU).
