Free Tdap/pertussis clinic on Saturday, Feb. 4 – prevent whooping cough! Tdap protects against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis. Influenza vaccine also will be available. |

The Medical Reserve Corps will operate a call center for making Tdap clinic appointments, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Jan. 30 through Feb. 3, at 425.388.5088. Pertussis continues to spread in Snohomish County. Newborn babies are at most risk of serious illness because they are too young to be immunized. The only way to keep them safe is to immunize the people around them. Adults need a booster shot because immunity wanes over time. The vaccine was purchased with a $14,000 grant from The Everett Clinic Foundation. |
