Take it outside! Three cities target secondhand tobacco smoke

Pilot project benefits kids in Arlington, Darrington & Marysville

SNOHOMISH COUNTY--- Billboards, buses and cinema ads in north Snohomish County are carrying a strong message this June: “6,000 children die each year from exposure to secondhand tobacco smoke --- Please smoke outside.” The ads can be seen at Regal Cinemas in Marysville, on the sides of Community Transit buses, and on billboards at several locations in Marysville and Lynnwood. Fresh news: Sultan parks go tobacco-free, June 11

Mayor Rowe keynotes the Osprey Park celebration at 2 p.m.

SNOHOMISH COUNTY---Sultan soon will become the fifth city in Snohomish County to freshen its parks with a healthier climate for kids. Sultan Mayor C. H. Bye-bye, blackbird: Report dead birds to Snohomish Health District

Your information will track West Nile virus in Snohomish County

SNOHOMISH COUNTY--- You can help track West Nile virus (WNV) activity in Snohomish County. Snohomish Health District recently reactivated its WNV information line for you to report the location of dead birds you find in the county. Dead crows in particular are early indicators of virus activity because this family of bird is most susceptible to infection.
