Board of Health Approves Pharmaceutical Stewardship Ordinance

Snohomish County Becomes Eighth in the Nation with Secure Medicine Return Regulation

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. At its board meeting on Tuesday, the Board of Health voted 10-0 in favor of approving the pharmaceutical stewardship ordinance as proposed. Snohomish County is now the second in the state to pass such a regulation, modeled closely after the one approved by King County in 2013.

Event Aimed at Reducing the Stigma of Mental Health

First Youth Mental Wellness Fair of its Kind to Debut May 7

EVERETT, Wash. – With substance abuse and suicide rates for youth in Snohomish County among the highest in the state, partners began meeting more than a year ago to plan a resource fair unlike any other in the nation. While treatment and help after the fact will always be needed, raising awareness of the critical role mental health well-being plays in prevention is needed.

2015 Health Champions Recognized, Continued Discussions on WIC and First Steps

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. – In conjunction with this month’s Board of Health meeting, the Snohomish Health District will recognize individuals and businesses in a new 2015 Health Champions ceremony. The Board of Health will also continue discussions on how Women, Infants and Children (WIC) and First Steps services will be provided in Snohomish County in 2017 and beyond.
