Plenty of flu vaccine is available now at Snohomish Health District clinics in Everett and Lynnwood. People of all ages are encouraged to roll up a sleeve for a shot to fend off the flu. The flu season often begins in late December and can extend through late March.
"We are relieved that the supply of vaccine finally has caught up with the demand for it," said M. Ward Hinds, MD, MPH, Health Officer for Snohomish Health District.
"Now that we can offer shots to the general public, I hope that folks will take advantage of it," Dr. Hinds said. "If you’ve ever had the flu, you know that preventing it is certainly worth a shot."
Flu shots cost $10 each and are available at the Snohomish Health District Main Clinic by appointment on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Monday and Wednesday by appointment from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and walk-in from 1-5:30 p.m. The Main Clinic address is 3020 Rucker Ave., Suite 100, Everett. Call (425) 339-5220 to make appointments.
