Everett CC hosts Links & Alliances Conference, Oct. 27

Day of workshops and healthy discussion for youth and adults

SNOHOMISH COUNTY— Twenty-three community sponsors will come together to host a day of workshops and panel discussions at the 5th Annual Invitational Links & Alliances Conference, Oct. 27, at Everett Community College, 2000 Tower St., Everett. The conference addresses issues of health, decision-making and image for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth.

“We developed this event for youth ages 14 to 20, their parents, educators and community providers,” said Brenda Newell, health educator for Snohomish Health District. “All youth have questions around identity—this is all about education and support in a safe and fun environment,” she said.

The conference is free, but requires pre-registration. For more information or to reserve a community resource table, please call Brenda Newell: 425.339.5251.

Established in 1959, the Snohomish Health District works to improve the health of individuals, families and communities through disease prevention, health promotion, and protection from environmental threats. Find more information about the Health District at
