More Online Services Now Available for Health District Customers
Envision Connect and NeoGov bring new customer-friendly options
SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. – We live in an age where technology has become part of our everyday life, making tasks more convenient than ever before. When technology is combined with a dedicated team of professionals, it results in improved and streamlined services for both customers and employees.
The Snohomish Health District’s environmental health and human resources programs are rolling out online services to better serve residents with two new platforms, Envision Connect Online and NeoGov.
“This has been a massive undertaking for the Environmental Health Division over the last two years,” said Jefferson Ketchel, administrator for the Health District. “Our inspectors have been able to streamline processes thanks to components being used in the field for several months, and now we are excited to launch the customer portal.”
Envision Connect Online will allow the public to submit applications or complaints online, check status of pending applications, pay fees and view inspection histories. As of November 1, customers are now able to:
- View inspection reports for food establishments, public pools and spas
- Submit complaints related to food, garbage, sewage, and more
- Submit birth certificate orders
- View application status
Additional services that will be available in the coming weeks include the ability to:
- Submit death certificate orders
- Submit plan review applications for food establishments, pools and schools
- Submit temporary food booth applications
- View plan review application status
- View septic application status
- Allow funeral homes and billed water systems to pay their monthly bill online
- Pay for septic permits
- Pay for renewal invoices, like food permit renewals
Some services require creating an account to allow account holders to link to their facilities. Not only will this allow access to a history of applications submitted, permits held, and inspection reports, users will also get notifications when an invoice is due with the ability to pay the invoice online.
“As a septic designer, I need to submit, track and pay for hundreds of permits each year,” said Brent Hackney, owner of Brent Hackney Designs in Lake Stevens. “I am excited by being invited to beta-test the new system. This will be a huge time saver for everyone.”
These new capabilities can be found on the Health District’s homepage at www.snohd.org under Online Services, or directly through https://snohomishonline.envisionconnect.com.
In addition to streamlined processes for environmental health customers, job seekers now have added features through a new contract with NeoGov. The online software streamlines the job search and application process, for both the applicants and hiring teams.
Job seekers will be able to create a user profile to submit applications electronically, instead of applying for multiple openings manually. If current openings are not the right fit, they can also create job interest cards to be notified when selected position types open in the future. Hiring managers can easily access these online records and quickly assess skill sets of applicants digitally. Applicants will be able to track status of the recruitment, including alerts if they advance to the next round of selection.

By integrating these new technologies, the Health District is looking forward to being able to provide seamless, efficient and user-friendly services to customers and potential employees.
