Lab-Confirmed Flu Deaths Climb to 8 in Snohomish County

New online resources as increased influenza symptoms and hospitalizations continue

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. – With several months still to go, updated reports show that Snohomish County is on pace to set a record in the total number of hospitalizations this flu season. In addition to continued increases in hospitalization numbers, three more deaths were reported:

  • A man in his early-70s from Everett with underlying health conditions
  • A woman in her early-90s from Mountlake Terrace with underlying health conditions
  • A man in his late-60s from Everett with underlying health conditions

As a reminder, residents are encouraged to follow four simple rules: wash hands, cover coughs, stay home if sick, and get vaccinated.
