Board of Health Meeting, September 13

District’s Situation Assessment Report to be Focus of Upcoming Meeting

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. – During its regular board meeting, the Board of Health will receive a briefing from staff at The William D. Ruckelshaus Center based on their situation assessment report for the Snohomish Health District. The meeting will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2016. The meeting will be held in the District’s Auditorium located at 3020 Rucker Ave, Everett, Wash.

The Board commissioned Ruckelshaus to conduct the assessment to assist in its deliberations about whether to explore potentially consolidating the Health District into County government, while also obtaining input regarding the purpose, role, governance structure and funding strategy for public health in Snohomish County. The Ruckelshaus team conducted interviews with 73 individuals over the past few months, and this report and briefing will highlight key themes and findings, as well as recommendations on next steps.

Once received from The Ruckelshaus Center, the final report will be made available on our website in advance of the meeting.
