Action requested:  Consider attending a training about adult immunizations.

Background & Resources:

For any age group, immunization schedules can be complicated and promoting vaccination can be difficult.  However, encouraging vaccination can be a particular challenge among adults.  In collaboration with the Gerontological Society of America (GSA), the National Adult Vaccination Program is offering 1 1⁄2-day multidisciplinary trainings “for healthcare professionals who are committed to increasing adult vaccination rates, improving their patients’ health, and improving quality metrics in their organization”.  There is no cost to attend these trainings. All travel expenses and fees are covered by the Gerontological Society of America, including coach air travel, hotel, travel-related expenses, and program fees.  The dates, locations, deadlines for applications, and links to apply for each training follow:
