The 16-hour class can save your business money and motivate your employees

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. – The Food Safety program at Snohomish Health District is offering a 16-hour intensive training in September in Spanish for food service managers and assistant managers.

The class will meet from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 12, 19, and 26 at the Snohomish Health District auditorium, 3020 Rucker Ave., Everett, Wash., 98201.

“We designed this class to offer managers advanced understanding of food safety and regulations,” said Teresita Corona, food program instructor at the Health District. “Trained managers can save money for their business and better educate and motivate employees in the workplace.”

The curriculum includes proper cooking, hot-holding, cold-holding, and cooling of potentially hazardous foods; cross-contamination prevention; staff training tips; and hygiene and sanitation practices.
