Take precautions for swimming health and safety
Swimming is a healthy and fun summer activity, but Snohomish Health District reminds families to be aware of the risks and take precautions. See our Hot Topic page for swimming health and safety tips. Swimming pools, spas, lakes, rivers, or oceans are all potential sources of water-related illness.
A lake in Kitsap County has been confirmed as the source of a norovirus outbreak. While Snohomish Health District has investigated a handful of illness reports related to our local lakes, no common cause or illness has been identified. See our media release.
If you think you got sick from a public water or food source - such as a swimming beach, campground, or restaurant – contact the Snohomish Health District at 425.339.5278.
